Full mouth reconstruction, or rehabilitation, is the process of rebuilding or restoring all of the teeth in both the upper and lower jaws. It typically involves one or more general or restorative dental procedures, such as crowns, bridges and veneers. Dr Pringle will be able to provide most, if not all of your dental needs but there will be times when he will refer to a specialist, such as a periodontist (specializes in the gums), oral surgeon, orthodontist and endodontist (specializes in the tooth pulp).
You may want to consider full mouth reconstruction if you have suffered any of the following:
- Your teeth have been lost due to decay or trauma.
- Your teeth have been injured or fractured.
- Your teeth are severely worn as a result of long-term acid erosion due to acid reflux or beverages, or from tooth grinding.
- You experience ongoing jaw, muscle and headache pain due to bite malocclusion.
If you feel you have serious mouth and dental problems and want to have normal dental function, we encourage you to schedule a free initial consultation with Wellington Family Dentistry. Dr. David Pringle will examine your mouth to determine the extent of the problems you have, and he will thoroughly review with you his recommendations, the options you have and the cost of each procedure.
