Dental Implants

Zirconia Implants

Ceramic Implants are now a great option for patients seeking a metal free dentition. At Wellington Family Dentistry we try to stay current on advances in technology, and zirconia implants look to be the future of implantology. We use 2 different systems, based on patient’s preference and situation. CeraRoot was the first to be a full ceramic implant in the US and has a great product line for dental implants. Z-systems is the other brand of ceramic implant that we offer, and they have some great situational products that are quality implants as well. At your consult we can speak about the Pros and Cons of Zirconia implants and the different products that you have researched online.

The science behind osseointegration of Zirconia implants is similar to that of Titanium implants. The bone is not offended by the implant and grows right up against the screw, locking it into place. The Zirconia implants do not have any allergic or conductive properties and tend to be accepted amongst all patients. There are many reasons to want a metal free implant, and the Zirconia Implants are strong, beautiful and long lasting. Their efficacy has been proven in Europe for years, and now that the FDA has approved specific brands, we are happy to be able to offer these to our patients that need a tooth replaced.

Call our office at 970-568-0030 to schedule an in depth consult with Dr Pringle. We will go over your options and figure out if a Zirconia Implant is right for you.

Implant dentistry takes time to complete because the dental implant anchor requires a certain amount of time to fuse to the bone before the replacement tooth can be attached to it. Because every person and procedure are different, this may take a few weeks or a few months.
